We’ve got a lot to cram into this final issue of Deadwood Magazine, so I’ll keep this short.
First up, thanks again to all you readers. We’ve been flooded with letters and phone calls of support over the past several weeks, but because of space limitations we’re only including a small sampling here. We appreciate your kindness. But although the magazine is going away, we plan to keep content updated at www.deadwoodmagazine.com. In fact, check out the site in August to read about a new archaeological discovery being made just outside Deadwood.
Subscribers with credit remaining on their account will be receiving letters shortly. We’ve worked with our East River friends at South Dakota Magazine to arrange for a credit transfer, but you’ll have a refund option, too. Keep an eye on your mailbox.
We genuinely hope that economic circumstances allow us to resume publication of Deadwood Magazine in the future. Until then, enjoy this retrospective issue, and we’ll see you on the website. All the best.
